Community Health Needs Assessment

A Road Map for Health in the Nebraska Panhandle

Kimball County is among several communities participating in an effort to improve the health status of all people living in the Nebraska Panhandle.

The Community Health Improvement Plan 2012-2017 is one result of these ongoing efforts. The plan is intended to serve as a road map for the local public health system, which includes individuals, schools, hospitals, organizations and communities to promote health. It is based on the Community Health Assessment: Nebraska Panhandle 2011, which has four main health priority areas: Healthy Living, Mental and Emotional Well-Being, Injury and Violence Prevention and Cancer Prevention.

The Community Health Needs Assessment was developed collaboratively in large part through the leadership of the Panhandle Public Health District and Scottsbluff Health District.
