Kimball is an ideal place to raise a family where traditional values and quality education are important. We are located in the southwest corner of the Nebraska Panhandle, 55 miles from Cheyenne, Wyoming and only 150 miles from Denver and the Rocky Mountains. Denver International Airport (DIA) is approximately 2 ½ hours drive. Kimball is at the crossroads of Interstate 80 and Highway 71. We believe Kimball provides the best of both worlds; safe, small town living, with the advantages of the big city close by. Kimball boasts one of the finest 18-hole golf courses around. Oliver Reservoir is located just 8 miles west of town and is a popular place during the summer months. Easy access to Interstate 80 makes Kimball a popular stop on the traveling vacation route. The economy is mostly agricultural, oil and gas, and some manufacturing. Major employers include Kimball Public Schools, Clean Harbors Environmental Services, George Risk Industries, and Kimball Health Services. Kimball is a great place to call home.
