Direct other questions to our Privacy Officer or call (308) 235-1952, ext. 162. Admissions The Admissions office is just through the west doors. The Admissions clerk handles all inpatient/outpatient registrations and dismissals. Making sure we have complete and accurate patient information begins with admission. Please help us by verifying your personal and insurance data on check-in or you may use our new secure online pre-registration. The admissions clerk, in conjunction with our Patients Accounts staff, also handles the hospital switchboard. When registering, you will be asked for your insurance card, which will have the company's name, address and policy number. If you do not have your card with you at the time of admission, a family member may bring it to the Admissions Office. Visitor Name Badge Policy All visitors must sign in and receive a pass to be worn on the premises for the north end of the building where the patient unit and emergency rooms are located. Please stop at the hospital admissions office or hospital nurses station to pick up your pass. Passes are not required on the south end by Rehab Services, Outpatient Clinics and the Rural Health Clinic. Telephones Family members and friends can call directly to the telephone in your room from outside by dialing (308) 235-1952 and the bed's extension number. The Admissions desk or the Nurses Station can give you this number during admission. When you are here and want to call outside the facility, dial "8", then the local phone number. To contact a hospital operator, dial "0". To place a long distance call you must use a calling card. Dial "8" then the toll-free number on your calling card. Visitor Hours We encourage your family and friends to visit you as you desire. Visiting hours are flexible and based on patient conditions. Please check at the Nurses Station to determine if exact visiting hours exist. Fire Safety Fire drills, performed once a month, help keep staff prepared for emergencies. During drills you'll hear a bell ringing, and nurses will close doors to patient rooms. No one is allowed to pass through any doorway during a fire drill or fire. To ensure fire safety, all personal electric equipment brought into our facility should be inspected by our staff prior to use. Your nurse can coordinate this inspection.
